- System selection
- What radio technology is best suited for your needs? Be it conventional land mobile,
pagers, mobile data, trunked radio [SMR], cellphone, or any other radio technology, GLMSS
members are uniquely capable of assessing your needs and providing you with the best
solution.
- Frequency Licensing
- All radio equipment [except certain low-power, short-range services] require a license
from the Federal Communications Commission. Your best choice may be equipment that
operates under a group license held by someone else. Otherwise, our members will guide you
through the maze of license application, "frequency coordination", and FCC
filing necessary to obtain the license you need.
- Equipment Selection
- GLMSS members sell, install and service all types of radio communications equipment.
Unlike some others in the radio business, they are interested in their customers for the
long haul. It is as important to our members that you purchase the right system and
equipment for your needs as it is to you.
- Installation
- You have bought the right system and the right equipment - now you need the right
installation. GLMSS members are geared to getting your system in and operating with a
minimum of delays and problems, and in conformance with good safety practice.
- Maintenance
- You didn't buy your radio system to use for a short while and then throw away. Like any
quality purchase, radio equipment needs proper care and repair. Damaged antennas, weak
batteries, hand-held units that have been dropped, and sometimes natural failure of the
radio itself - all diminish or destroy the effectiveness of your system. Proper system
maintenance will make your radio system return to you many times the money you invest in
it. GLMSS members keep their technicians trained up-to-the-minute in the latest technology
and repair techniques, and in diagnosing and fixing elusive system problems that other
servicers might miss.
