Fall Technical Meeting - August 19-21, 2007

Deadline for hotel registration: August 3rd

All MSS'S are required to meet certain training and certification standards by December 2007. GLMSS has arranged for training and certification exams for Techs and Service Managers at Schaumburg, IL.

Persons attending should arrive at the hotel on Sunday, August 19th. Training classes for both Techs and Service Managers will begin at 8:00 A.M. Monday, August 20th. Exams will be given on Tuesday, August 21st.

A brand new Motorola ML910 Laptop Computer will be awarded to one lucky participant.

Don Pierson will present an orientation on how to EASILY accomplish the paperwork for the Certified Service Center process. This will be on Sunday evening, August 19th, and will be of great interest and benefit to owners and service managers.

Available for download is a study aid to review before going thru the tech class. Every formula on the study guide will be on the test so it is important to know how to use them. This study guide does not take the place of the one that ETA has but rather supplements it. Also for the class and the test everyone will need, and know how to use, a scientific calculator that will do PI, Sq, Sq root, Powers and algebraic equations. Please make sure everyone is familiar with their calculator. Every class I have done someone fails the test because they could not get their calculator to work properly. They will not be able to use the calculator program on the computer or use a programmable calculator, i.e. one that has memory stacks and registers that allow the formulas to be pre-programmed in it and saved.
